The statue is a stone carving and is believed to be the largest of its kind. According to the locals, the statue is more than 1,400 years old. The Shiva statue is set in a thirteen-meter-long pool of water which according to the locals represents the ocean. The beautiful temple is a result of the magic of Licchavi dynasty architecture.

Boudhunath Stupa

The colossal white mandala of Boudhunath Stupa is a mesmerizing work of architecture as it sits across the beautiful landscape of the Himalayas. It is one of the most important stupas for Buddhists and was built around 600 AD. According to the local stories, the stupa was made by a king in atonement after he killed his father by mistake. But there is no proof or written history of the construction of the stupa.

Swayambhunath Stupa

This stupa also goes by the name of ‘Monkey Temple’ as many monkeys are roaming around the stupa. The stupa is located in the northwest side of Kathmandu valley and from the stupa, you get a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Kathmandu city. The place is inundated with peace and prayers and will surely offer you peace of mind. This is a famous place in Nepal known among tourists for offering calmness and peace of mind. It is also one of the oldest stupas in Nepal.

Kathmandu Durbar Square

Known as the traditional heart of the city, the Kathmandu Durbar Square has more than 50 temples on its premises. There are two courtyards in the durbar, the inner section contains the main palace while the outer section has Kumari Ghar and temples dedicated to different gods and goddesses. This Durbar Square is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and it used to serve as the courtyard of the king's palace. Every year, the king used to be coronated in the courtyard of this Durbar Square.

The Park was built in 1973 and now it offers sightseeing of various endangered animals and birds. This park is the only home to the one-horned Asiatic rhino. Witness the water disappearing in the tunnel after hitting the bottom and then in just a few steps, we will reach Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, a cave with religious importance. Then we will head back to the hotel for rest and an overnight stay in Pokhara.

World Peace Pagoda

Also known as Shanti Stupa, is a spectacular monument that sits atop Anadu Hill. The pagoda gives you a perfect idea of traditional pagoda-style architecture and the serenity offered by this place is unmatchable. You can pray at the pagoda, and enjoy the panoramic view of Pokhara city, Annapurna mountain range, and Phewa Lake. You will feel recharged just by being near the pagoda and that’s the main reason why so many people visit here.

Davis Fall

One of the most mystical waterfalls in Nepal. The water falling from 70 meters simply disappears in the long tunnel after hitting the bottom. And this gives the tourists a magical illusion. The strong force of water falling from such a height is a breathtaking view. The fall is also known as Devi’s Fall or Patale Chango and is fed by the  Pardi Khola stream and Phewa Lake Dam.

Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave

This is a 2 km long cave that has been carved with precision by nature. This cave also holds religious importance as there is a statue of God Shiva just 40 meters into the cave. This is the main reason why so many people leave their shoes and slippers outside the cave. The cave has been a center for prayer and worship for many centuries.

5:00 AM: We will drive to the Sangarkot early in the morning to reach the sunrise point for the mesmerizing view. The scenic view of sunrise from the middle of the mountain ranges with the color of the sky changing over time will leave your jaw dropped. Take some memorable pictures of the mountain ranges and the sunrise and then return back to the hotel for breakfast.

10:00 AM: After breakfast, you will have some spare time to wander around Pokhara and if you are not interested in taking a walk in Pokhara, we will head towards the half-day sightseeing tour. Our first stop will be the Mahendra Cave with its beautiful rock formations and then we will head towards Bindhyabasini Temple, a temple with lots of religious significance. The last stop of the day will be Taal Barahi Temple located in the middle of the Phewa Lake on a small island. After the sightseeing, you will be taken back to your hotel. You can either explore Pokhara on your own and enjoy the beautiful evening.

Mahendra Cave

A huge cave made completely of limestone and it is one of the rarest caves in Nepal because of its rare formation and structure. The cave is popular among tourists for its statue of Lord Shiva, rock formation, and stunning view. The cave also allows tourists to explore adventure-filled dark and challenging passages.

Bindhyabasini Temple

Made on the top of a hill. The temple is dedicated to goddess Bhagwati, an incarnation of Durga. There are many people who come to this temple for prayers and they even sacrifice animals at the temple.

Phewa Lake

The lake offers a stunning landscape view along with the reflection of mountain ranges. It is the second largest lake in Nepal and the view of mountains on one side with a lake and lush-gree forest on another side gives you a picturesque view. The Barahi temple is another attraction of the lake as the temple sits in the middle of the lake on a small island.

8:00 AM: Complete your delicious breakfast at the hotel and then get ready to head back to Kathmandu. We will cover a distance of 201 km to reach Kathmandu from Pokhara and it will take around 7-8 hours of road trip. En route, you can stop and visit the famous Manakamana Temple through a cable car. After returning to Kathmandu, you will have enough time for shopping and you can even have your dinner in the Thamel market of Kathmandu.
