Kathmandu 

Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal is the commencement point of any Nepal travel. But apart from being the kickstart point, Kathmandu has a lot to offer to the visitors. Some of the oldest and most blissful temples of Nepal are located in Kathmandu. Several landmarks in Kathmandu like Boudhanath and Swayambhunath temples are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Apart from the religious spots, Kathmandu is also popular among tourists for its bustling market where you can buy handicrafts, shawls, and many other exotic items while enjoying the local cuisines. 

Pokhara 

Pokhara is a picturesque valley that allows you to witness the diverse terrain of Nepal. From the magical peaks of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre mountains to the mystic Fewa Lake which reflects the mountains in its lap, there are many natural magics to explore in Pokhara. There is also the popular and sacred Talbarahi temple situated on an island in the middle of the Fewa Lake. The panoramic vistas of the magical mountains and majestic lake accentuate your journey. But this is not it as there is Davis Fall, Gupteshwor Cave, the intriguing Mahendra Cave, and much more waiting to be explored by you in Pokhara. 

 Chitwan National Park 

This is Nepal's most attractive tourist destination.  Established in 1973, the Chitwan National Park allows you to explore different types of wildlife animals, birds, flora, and fauna. If you are a wildlife lover, then the visit to the Chitwan National Park will be the highlight of the trip for you. Apart from birdwatching and exploring endangered animals in the wild, you can also indulge in different types of activities like Jeep Safari, Animal Safari, Elephant Bathing, Breeding Center, and Jungle Walking. The National Park is spread over an area of 932 km² and is located on plain fields. 

Itinerary

Arrival: You will be greeted by one of our representatives at the Kathmandu airport and then you will be transferred to your hotel via private cab. In the evening, there will be a small session organized by our representatives during which you will be briefed about the tour. 

*If there is any kind of delay in the flight, the briefing will be organized the next morning. And if you have enough time on the day of your arrival, you can take a stroll in the local market of Kathmandu to get a feel of Nepal on your own. 

8:30 AM: After a luscious breakfast at the hotel, we will begin our Kathmandu sightseeing in the private cab. This day will be dedicated to the religious and heritage sites of Kathmandu like Swyambhunath StupaBhaktapur Durbar SquarePashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. All these tourist attractions are located in the Kathmandu Valley and its outskirts and it will take around 6-7 hours to visit all these places.  After the completion of the religious and heritage visits, you will be taken back to your hotel so that you can unwind and prepare for the next day in Pokhara. 

Boudhanath Stupa

The giant stupa is one of the largest stupas on earth and is located 2 km north of the famous Pashupatinath Temple. The construction of the stupa represents the core of Buddhism's tenets and the shape of the stupa is in the form of a mandala. It has been listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. 

Swayambhunath Stupa 

The age, spiritual significance, and architecture of Swayambhunath stupa make it one of the most visited stupas in Nepal. It is located 10 km west of Boudhanath Stupa and is almost 2,000 years old. The white dome and the golden spire of the stupa are the most striking architectural features and it is a sacred place for Buddhists. 

Pashupatinath Temple

Built in 400 CE, the Pashupatinath Temple is an architectural marvel and one of the most important pilgrimage sites among Hindus. This beautiful temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva in his Pashupati form. Your spiritual side will hold you in the premises and you will feel the positive energy as soon as you enter the premises of the temple. 

Bhaktapur Durbar Square

This Durbar Square is located in the heart of Kathmandu and is also known as the Museum of Medieval Architecture and Art as it houses many woodcarvings, sculptures, and colossal pagoda temples dedicated to different gods and goddesses. A trip to Kathmandu is never complete without a visit to the famous Bhaktapur Durbar Square. 

 

8:30 AM: After completing a lip-smacking breakfast, head towards the next exciting location Pokhara by private cab. The distance between Kathmandu and Pokhara is around 201 km and you will be covering 7 hours of road trip filled with scenic views, mesmerizing mountains, and many snack and tea counters beside the road. Check-in into the hotel, take some rest, and then you have plenty of options like- taking a stroll on the lakeside roaming around the market, or just sitting back at your hotel and enjoying the rest of the day. 

*Our itinerary for the 3rd day at Pokhara covers only transportation to the hotel. After that, you have the option to indulge in different activities on your own. Since there is 7 hours of drive involved on the 3rd day, we don't have any sightseeing and activities on this day.

4:30 AM: You will have to get up early on the 4th day to witness the true magic of nature; the Sarangkot sunrise. The Sangarkot sunrise point is located 10 km away from Pokhara and it will take around 30 minutes to reach there. 

Sarangkot Sunrise

This place is 1593 meters above sea level and is famous among tourists for its enticing sunrise view. The sun rising from the between the mountains paints the sky golden and the white mountains add up to the amazing view. Also, from the sunrise point, you get to see the longest panoramic view of the Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Annapurna ranges.  

8:30 AM: Return to your hotel, freshen up, enjoy your breakfast, and get ready for an exciting day of Pokhara sightseeing. We will commence our day with a visit to Bindabasini Temple and then head towards Devi's Fall, followed by Gupteshwor Cave, a boat ride on Phewa Lake, and a visit to the International Mountain Museum. We will then return to the hotel and stay overnight. 

Bindhyabasini Temple

This temple is the most important religious hub for Hindus and is dedicated to Goddess Durga, the chosen guardian deity of Pokhara city. Goddess Durga has many manifestations and in Bindabasini Temple, she sits as Bhagwati. The temple is also a Shaktipith of the western part of Nepal. 

Devi's Fall

It is a magical waterfall located 7 km away from Bindabasini Temple. The waterfall is popular among tourists for the natural phenomenon (the fall creates a beautiful 500 m long underground tunnel as the waterfall reaches the bottom) and beauty. The water falling from the mountains vanishes at the bottom and this is what gives a phenomenal spectacle of nature.  

Gupteshwor Cave

The Gupteshwor Cave is located on the other side of the Devi's Fall. It is the longest cave (2,000 meters) in Nepal and is also an important pilgrimage site. There is a statue of Lord Shiva in the cave and this is how the cave got its name. There are rare minerals and elements in the cave and the beautiful spiral steps will lead you to the entry of the cave. 

Phewa Lake

The splendid lake is a major attraction of Pokhara. You can see the reflection of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges in the lake. You can also visit the Tal Barahi Temple which sits in the middle of the Phewa Lake on a small island. And keep in mind that Phewa Lake is the only lake in Nepal. 

International Mountain Museum

This is one of a kind of museum that must be visited by everyone, especially those who love mountains. You will be welcomed by the striking exterior of the museum and then upon entrance, you can go through the chronological evolution of mountains and every type of mountaineering activity on the planet from the beginning till now. 

8:00 AM: After a fulfilling breakfast, we will get back on the road with the destination set to Chitwan. Chitwan is around 170 km from Pokhara and it will take around 5 to 6 hours to cover this distance. We will reach Chitwan and check in at the hotel. 

3:00 PM: After some rest at the hotel, we will head towards the Tharu Village (a 1 hour drive from your hotel). At the end of the village tour, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset at Rapti River. Then we will head back to the hotel room. 

Tharu Village 

The village is popular among tourists for its unique culture and traditions and the people living here are known as Tharu people. These people form an ethnic community indigenous to the southern plains of Nepal. Visitors can enjoy local music and dance in the village along with a wide array of handicrafts.

On quieter days, visitors might be invited by the locals to their homes for tea. This village will bring you close to the native people of Nepal and you will get a sneak peek into how people used to live in this area hundreds of years ago. 

Rapti River Sunset

The calm and wide Rapti river has a dense jungle on the other side and the already beautiful landscape is accentuated with the magic of sunset. Everyone who visits the Tharu Village never misses the opportunity to see the sunset at Rapti River. 

8:30 AM: After a tasty breakfast at the hotel, we will head towards the Chitwan National Park via private cab. We will spend an entire day at the Chitwan National Park as many activities will keep you busy and entertained for the entire day. You can take part in different activities like Jungle Jeep Safari, Elephant Bath, Breeding Center, Cannonning Trip, and much more. 

Chitwan National Park 

It is the first national park of Nepal established in 1973. Earlier, it was known as Royal Chitwan National Park. It has rich flora and fauna and houses one of the last groups of single-horned Asiatic rhinos on the planet. Other than this, many endangered animals, exotic birds, and a long list of fun activities are waiting for you to explore. 

Details of the activities

Elephant Bath: You can shower from the water thrown from the trunks of magnificent Elephants at the Rapti River. According to the locals, Elephant Bath is considered good for your health. 

Jeep Safari: It is the most common and traditional form of exploring the Chitwan National Park. Best way to spot tigers, rhinos, birds, and other exotic animals. 

Cannonning Trip: You will ride on the Rapti River on the traditional, hand-made canoe and you will also get to see the gharials sunbathing on the banks of the river. 

Tharu Stick Dance: You can see the tribal dance and can participate in it as well. 

9:30 AM: After a fulfilling breakfast, we will set our destination to Kathmandu and cover the distance of 186 km in 6-7 hours on the road via private cab. You can enjoy the scenic view throughout the journey and take breaks to stretch your legs or for snacks and meals. After reaching Kathmandu, you can visit places like Thamel to buy special handicrafts, shawls, and much more. 

Final Day: After breakfast, you will meet our representatives in the lobby of the hotel with your belongings. From there, our representative will escort you to the Kathmandu Airport at least 3 hours before the arrival of your flight. Our representatives will then bid you farewell at the gate and wish you a safe and happy journey.

  • The private cab will not be at your disposal. It will take you to the fixed routes mentioned in the itinerary, and it can’t be used for shopping, meals, or sightseeing not included in the package. 
  • The A/C of your private cab will not be working in hilly or cool areas.

Your right to Know!

Upon your arrival, our representative will meet you at the terminal of Tribhuvan International airport in Kathmandu. From there, our representative will take you to the hotel for check-in. 

Our representative will be standing at the terminal with a Placard of MyTripWale along with the name of the client written on it. He will also have a proper ID card of the company MyTripWale. 

The food you will get in the breakfast will be the breakfast menu of the hotel. It will be a hygienic, healthy, and fulfilling breakfast suitable for every age and type of traveler. 

The best time to spot tigers in Chitwan National Park is from September to November and from March to April. The National Park is less dense during these months and thus, the chances of seeing tigers increases.
