There will be a small briefing in the evening about how the upcoming days will turn out to be. This will give you an idea of the plans for the next 6 days.

*If your flight is delayed, the briefing will be organized the next morning. And if you arrive early, you can plan a short sightseeing or take a stroll in the market as per your wish.

10:00 AM: After a luscious breakfast, get ready to hit the roads and enjoy your full day of Kathmandu Sightseeing. Today, we will visit the most prominent sites of Kathmandu like Boudhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. All these sites are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

We will begin our tour with the famous Pashupatinath Temple as a good beginning always leads to a good end. Our next stop will be Boudhunath Stupa, located just 2 km away from Pashupatinath Temple. There are many cafes and restaurants near Boudhunath Stupa where you can enjoy delicious food and have your lunch as well. We will then set our destination to Swayambhunath Stupa (9 km from Boudhunath Stupa). Our last step will be Kathmandu Durbar Square, the heart of the city.

5:00 AM: After a complete UNESCO World Heritage Site tour, you will be taken back to your hotel so that you can rest and reenergize for the next day.

Pashupatinath Temple

It is the most important and sacred Hindu temple in the world dedicated to Lord Shiva. The millennium-old temple houses the main temple and a compound surrounded by a wide array of shrines, ashrams, and temples. The temple is located on the banks of the Bagmati River which further beautifies the scarred temple.

Boudhunath Stupa

If Pashupatinath Temple is the most sacred pilgrim site for Hindus, the Boudhunath Stupa holds the same importance for Buddhists. According to a couple of records, the stupa was made in the 5th Century CE, making it one of the oldest stupas in the world. There are more than  40 monasteries near the stupa and the whole area is filled with Buddhist settlements.

Swayambhunath Stupa

It is one of the oldest monuments in Nepal as it is believed that the stupa dates back to the origins of the Kathmandu Valley itself. According to records, the stupa was built some 1500 years ago but religious beliefs go further back in time. The hilltop has both Hindu shrines and Buddhist stupas and it receives thousands of visitors every day.

Kathmandu Durbar Square

Known as the heart of the Kathmandu Valley, this place is a museum of shrines, temples, and architectural marvels. This used to be the old royal palace and that’s why it holds so much importance among Nepalese people and the government. The entire palace was built somewhere near the 15th Century and new foundations kept being added.

*There are additional activities like the Mountain Everest flight that you can book on your own and get an aerial view of the mountains. It is an optional tour that has to be arranged by you.

The cable car ride offers you a scenic view of the surrounding landscape.

5:00 AM: We will wake up early in the morning to witness another magic of nature; Sangarkot Sunrise. The sun rises at the viewpoint between 5:30 to 6:00 AM. The Sangarkot sunrise viewpoint is one of those spots that you shouldn’t skip. As soon as the sun rises from the laps of the mountains, it paints the sky golden and makes the mountains glitter as gold. This is a view that is going to stay in your memory till your last breath. Click some pictures, enjoy the sunrise, and then return to the hotel for breakfast.

10:00 AM: After breakfast, you will have some free time in which you can go on for activities as per your interest. But if you don’t wish to go, we will begin our half-day sightseeing of the remaining gems of Pokhara. The half-day will be a more nature-based and cultural tour that will begin with Davis Fall. Next, we will head towards Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave which is just a stone-throw away distance from Pokhara. Our tour will then continue with a visit to Bindhyabasini Temple (located 7.1 km from Gupteshor Mahadev Cave). Then we will finally head towards the beautiful Phewa Lake and end our 4th-day sightseeing by returning to the hotel.

Davis Fall

Davis Fall, also known as Patale Chango among the locals is a mystical waterfall. The water falling to the bottom creates a subterranean tunnel (500 feet long) and the entire waterfall with the water disappearing at the bottom looks nothing less than a magic trick. It is considered the most mysterious waterfall of Nepal and it transforms into a giant during monsoon season.

Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave

This cave is known as Bhalu Dulo among the locals and is one of the biggest caves in Nepal with its length reaching almost 2 km. The cave is on the other side of Davis Falls and you can hear the thundering water of Davis waterfall from inside the cave. There is also a statue of Lord Shiva just 40 meters into the cave.

Bindhyabasini Temple

The temple sits on the top of a hill, 3000 above sea level, in the old town of Pokhara. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bindhyabasini, an incarnation of Goddess Kali. In the premise of the temple, you can find small temples of other gods and goddesses as well. And you get an amazing view of Annapurna and Dhulagiri mountain range.

Phewa Lake

The spectacular and still lake is surrounded by Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges and you can easily see the reflection of these two mountain ranges in the lake. You can also book a boat to sail on the lake and enjoy the stillness of the lake while witnessing the towering mountains almost touching the sky.

*The boat ride in Phewa Lake is an optional activity and is not included in the tour package.

8:00 AM: Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and then get ready to get on the road in the private cab with the destination set to Nagarkot. En route, we will pass through Kathmandu. Nagarkot is located at a distance of 30 km from Pokhara and it will take around 6-7 hours to reach there. As you reach Nagarkot, check-in, take some rest, and then you have the option to enjoy the scenic sunset of Nagarkot.

 Nagarkot

Nagarkot offers you the most spectacular view of the Himalayas range and this is one of the main reasons why Nagarkot has gained popularity among tourists. From Nagarkot, tourists can easily get breathtaking views of Ganesh Himal, Himalayas, Annapurna, and Langtang, if the weather is in your favor.

5:00 AM: If you don’t want to miss the view of the sun slowly rising above the mountains, get up early on the 6th day. You don’t need to go anywhere as you can see the sun rising from the mountains from the window of your hotel only. Enjoy a fulfilling breakfast at the hotel and get ready for another memorable day in Nepal.

10:00 AM: After breakfast and some rest, we will cover the remaining two Durbar Squares of Nepal; Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

3:00 PM: After the amazing sightseeing, we will head back towards the hotel. You will have a free evening in Kathmandu. You can use the free time to either rest and rewind the memories created in the past 5-6 days or you can go shopping in the local markets like Thamel Bazar and New Road Gate Market.

Patan Durbar Square

This is a sacred place located in Lalitpur, Nepal and it has 55 temples and shrines that honor different Hindu gods and goddesses. The Durbar Square also has 136 courtyards and there is also a beautiful museum in the Durbar Square. The three-storied Krishna Mandir is also located in Patan Durbar Square.
