Other temples that will be included in your itinerary are Vishnu Paduka, Jwala Mai Temple, Shree Guru Ramanujacharya Temple, Narshing Gompa, and Swaminarayan Nilkath Varni Meditation Spot. Then we will come back to Pokhara and visit Bindabasini Temple, Seti Gorge, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, Devi's Water Fall, and Tal Barahi Temple at Phewa Lake.

Arrival: Upon your arrival at the Kathmandu Airport, you will be greeted by one of our company’s representatives. He will then escort you to the hotel for check in. Allow your body to wash off the traveling stress.
4:30 PM: There will be a quick briefing organized by our team members and they will inform you about how the next 5 days will unfold. If you have any doubts regarding the trip and the itinerary, you can ask our team members during the briefing.
5:30 PM: After the briefing, we will head directly to Pashupatinath Temple for the evening aarti. Absorb the energy of the aarti performed by priests at the banks of the Bagmati River. You can also enjoy the Tandav dance performed by followers to honor Lord Shiva.
Pashupatinath Temple
This temple was built in the 5th century BCE it is one of the most sacred sites for Hindus in the entire world. Thousands of Hindus from different parts of the world flock to Nepal just to visit the temple which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temple is dedicated to God Pashupatinath, the god of animals. Although only Hindus are allowed to enter the temple, all the other visitors can watch the temple and the different activities from outside the premises.If are an Indian citizen, you won’t be charged for entering the temple. Along with the peace and the aarti, the architecture of the temple is also a highlight.
7:30 PM: After the aarti, we will head to the hotel for an overnight stay.
9:30 AM: Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and then we will hit the roads to cover a distance of 200 km in around 7-8 hours to reach Pokhara. En route, you will get to enjoy the scenic view of the Trisuli River, small villages, mountain ranges, and much more. You will be busy praising the natural beauty of Nepal and the 7-8 hours of journey will be easily completed. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and take a rest.
*Depending upon the time of your arrival in Pokhara, you might have some leisure time in the evening. You can take a walk and enjoy the markets, people, and landscape of Pokhara.
5:30 AM: Wake up early as we will have to reach the Pokhara Airport to catch the flight to Jomsom. There are 4-5 flights from 6:30 to 9:30 AM and since the flight to Jomsom is dependable on weather, we will have to reach early to test our luck. It will take around 20 minutes to reach Jomsom from Pokhara. From the flight, you will get a breathtaking aerial view of different mountain ranges.
11:00 AM: After breakfast, we will head directly towards Muktinath Temple. By covering a distance of 22 km in 1 hour, we will finally reach the second highlight of our tour; Muktinath Temple. Arrive at Muktinath and then walk for 2 km to reach the temple. If you are not able to walk, opt for a horse ride that will take you directly to the temple’s premises. Wash your sins and purify your soul by taking a bath in the 108 water springs and 2 kundas. We will then visit, Vishnu Paduka, Narshing Gompa, Swaminarayan Nilkath Varni Meditation Spot, Mukteshwor Mahadev Temple, Shree Guru Ramanujacharya Temple, and Jwala Mai Temple. Finally, we will take the same route to return to Jomsom for an overnight stay.
Muktinath Temple
Located in the lap of the Himalayas, Muktinath is one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Hindus and Buddhists. The temple offers a spiritually uplifting experience to thousands of devotees who come here. According to Hindu believers, it is a place of salvation as the temple helps liberate the soul from the cycle of birth and death. This is also one of the 24 tantric places where Guru Padmasambhava mediated.
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and then we will head back to the Jomsom airport. If there will be no weather disturbance, we will reach on time at Pokhara Airport.
11:30 AM: From the airport, we will directly begin our Pokhara sightseeing. First of all, we will head towards Bindhyabasini Temple. Seek blessing at the temple, feel peace of mind, and then we will move towards Davis Waterfall. Enjoy the magnificent waterfall and just a few steps ahead is the sacred cave; Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave. Cherish the craftsmanship of nature and walk through the cave. Our final destination of the day will be the Phewa Lake and Tal Barahi Temple.
Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave
Located just a few meters away from Davis Falls, this is not just another cave as it is a sacred site for Hindus. Just after walking for 40-50 meters in the cave, you will come across a statue of Lord Shiva and that’s how the cave got its name. Since it is a sacred site, many people opt to remove their shoes and slippers before entering the temple, although it is not necessary.
Bindhyabasini Temple
The temple was built in 1842 B.S and is considered to be one of the oldest temples in Nepal. King of Kaski, Siddhi Narayan Malla built the temple after he had a vision of building the temple in his dream at an exact location. The statue placed inside the temple has been brought from Uttar Pradesh and it is one of the most sacred sites for Hindus.
Phewa Lake
When the still lake reflects the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, the landscape leaves you speechless. Phewa Lake covers an area of around 4.43 km2 and the average depth of the lake is 8.6 meters. You can also go for a boat ride on the lake and enjoy nature from up close.
Barahi Temple
This temple is located on a small island in Phewa Lake and is popular for its evening aarti. The temple was built in 1416 and is also known as ‘Lake Temple’ because of its location.
7:30 AM: Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and then we will head towards Kathmandu by private cab. It will take around 7 to 8 hours to cover a distance of 200 km. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and enjoy your free evening in Kathmandu with shopping, local food, and roaming around the city.
Have your breakfast at the hotel and then our representative will take you to the airport, 3 hours before the arrival of your flight so that you won’t have to deal with any issues during the check-in process. Our representative will bid farewell and wish you a happy journey.
Your right to Know!
The prices can vary. Usually, the horse owners charge anything between ₹400 to ₹700 for a one-way trip to Muktinath temple. There is also a dolly option available at ₹4000.
The best time to visit Muktinath Temple is between December and January and between March and June. The weather be in your favor during these months and you will have a seamless journey to Muktinath Temple.
The aarti at Pashupatinath temple begins around 6:00 PM.
The Muktinath Temple is located at an elevation of 3800 meters and when you will reach such a height directly by helicopter or flight, your body won’t be able to adjust to the change in the atmosphere because of the high altitude.
